Ulta Beauty was founded in 1990 as retail for cosmetics, hair and skin services, fragrances, and so much more. There are 1,278 stores located throughout the United States. Every store provides a shopping experience for every generation.

In 2020, COVID-19 occurred and impacted the economy as stores like Ulta Beauty were told to shut down until the national mandates were lifted. The pandemic changed the course of the way many retailers have done business in the past.

Ulta Beauty’s current business model consists of the “old normal” brick and mortar, and with it comes the challenges.

Despite the pandemic woes, beauty products and skincare are rising, and Ulta Beauty sells them both.
